ROCK AND STARS - BTS

I have chosen BTS because it is my favourite band. BTS is a Korean band which is composed by seven members: Kim Nanjoom, Kim Seok-jin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. Their ages go between 23 and 28. Nanjoom was born in Gyeonggi-Do, Jin was born in Anyang-Gwangcheon, Hoseok was born in Gawngju, Yoongi and Taehyung were born in Daegu and Jimin and Jungkook were born in Busan. But today everyone lives in Seul, the capital of South Korea. 

BTS, the South Korean boy band has grown considerably since its debut in 2013 until today. In 2013, they won the category as new artist of the year at the Men Music Awards, which was their first prize. They have won many prestigious awards in Korea as the Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards. This award focuses on the song and albums which have won five times, the Golden Disc Awards being this the equivalent of the Grammys in Korea also won five times, the Asia Artist Awards, in these awards pays tribute to outstanding achievement and international contribution of Asian artist in television and music, these awards have won them twice and some more in Korea. 

But BTS has not stayed in Korea, also has been expanding internationally around the world being the first South Korean band to reach number one on the Billboard Artist 100 and record several albums on the Billboard 200 in a year, I also add a show at New York City Field Stadium to their Love Yourself Tour, They made history as the first Korean group to perform a show at the US Stadium, also having a 2018 appearance on the cover of "Time" magazine which presents only the most appreciated public figures, BTS became the first Korean act to appear on the cover of the theme about "Leaders of the Next Generation" and so on. They have also been winners of album of the year, best single and Artis of the year at the Genie Music Awards these being their last prize. 

In my opinion, I feel that it is a very good band because apart from being my favourite, each of the lyrics of their songs are good and they have a lot to reflect on, they also show us that the lyrics of the songs do not have to be chauvinist, denigration or misogynist to be heard.
